St. Leo's Sports Group is always looking for coaches and volunteers. No experience is necessary!  If you wish to become a coach and/or volunteer please reach out to us.  Note that a requirement for being a coach and/or volunteer is that you MUST have taken a Protecting God's Children Workshop.  

We have arranged for a class to be held at St. Leo's on Thursday, September 26th, at 7:00 pm in the gym.  You must pre-register for the class at www.virtus.org.  See flyer on the right of the page for more information.

Start cleaning out those closets!  St. Leo's Sports Group will be holding their Fall Clothing Drive on Saturday, October 26th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in the back lot of the school.  See the flyer to the left for items that can be donated. 

St. Leo’s Sports Group is pleased to bring back Pie-Eyed Frozen Pizza for their fall fundraiser.  The Pie-Eyed Bar Pies are 11.5” (larger than those you get in restaurants) handmade frozen pizzas famous for their crispy bread crumb crust and each is hand tossed and made with fresh ingredients.
 
Yes, these are the same great-tasting pizzas that we have served in the Lion’s Den over the years!  These are great for a quick meal before or after sports or other after-school activity.  So, why not order a few to keep in the freezer for those last-minute dinner/snack ideas? 
 
Orders will be taken, Monday, September 9^th thru Friday, September 20^th.   Delivery will be in mid-October.   Since the pies will arrive frozen, you must pick up your pies on the scheduled day/time – to be announced – as we cannot store the pizzas. 
 
We ask that everyone try and purchase/sell at least five pizzas to help us reach our fundraising goal, however every order, no matter how big or small helps.  Attached is an order form with the different varieties of pizzas and prices.  
 
Please return all orders, no later than Friday, September 20^th to St. Leo’s Sports Group.

Congratulations to our Lions Sports family members that were recognized on Sunday, April 21, 2024 by the Archdiocese CYO during a ceremony held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark.

We would like to congratulate Isabel Lopez and Christian Leto on recently receiving the Archdiocesan Parish/School Sportsmanship Awards.

This award is given to those student athletes that display outstanding sportsmanship through service or actions on and off the court in their parish community.
Isabel, who will be graduating this year, has been a member of the Lady Lions Basketball and Volleyball teams since sixth grade.

Christian, who will be graduating this year, has been a member of the boys’ basketball teams where he started in our Little Lions clinic and played his final season this year.

We would also like to congratulate Director/Coach Joe Leto! Coach Joe received the Archdiocesan Discipleship Award.

This award is given to those individuals that demonstrate a strong commitment to young people and athletics in our parish and/or school.
Coach Joe has been with the Sports Group since 2007 and has served as director and coach. Coach Joe has coached all three of his sons during this time.

Congratulations Isabel, Christian and Coach Joe on these well deserved recognitions!
